More and more Canadians are opting to travel close to home. In 2015, searches by Canadians on trivago.ca for hotels in Canada increased by 9% when compared to last year – marking a sharp rise in domestic travel interest.

Based on the hotels’ online reputation, and yearly average price from over 250 booking sites, these home turf cities are ideal for a Canadian getaway that won’t break the bank!

The trivago Best Value Index ranks cities based on a combination of consumer ratings and average hotel prices with 100% being the top score. It provides a unique overview of the best valued destinations by using a specifically tailored algorithm that combines the trivago Hotel Price Index with trivago’s Reputation Ranking for hotels. Only destinations with at least 30 hotels and a minimum average of 150 user ratings per hotel were considered in this index.
