10 Toonie-Friendly US Cities for Summer’s Last Hurrah

Trips across the border are becoming more expensive as the dollar continues to drop, but that isn’t making our closest neighbor any less popular with Canadian travellers. In fact, American destinations made up for over half (55%) of all summer searches on hotel search trivago.ca. This, despite a US average accommodation price 32% higher than last August. Looking at Canadians’ 40 favourite US summer cities, trivago has narrowed down the 10 destinations with the lowest average hotel rates for August that will make the most out of every loonie and toonie.
